Developed for the Air Force Research Laboratory/IFEC and emplying a patented AFRL algorithm, DEFE is a
prototype software tool which provides capabilities of file tamper detection and blind file identification.
Tamper detection includes watermarking/checksums, data integrity assurance and virus detection. Content
identification is possible using complete or partial file information and is capable of determining such formats
as PowerPoint (.ppt), Bitmap (.bmp), Word documents (.doc), Excel spreadsheets (.xls) and more.
